To further expand their production capabilities, RDD Limited is investing in an additional auto feed edge banding machine, scheduled to go online in September 2026.
An edge bander plays a critical role in panel furniture manufacturing by automatically applying adhesive, bonding edge tapes (such as PVC or ABS) to exposed raw panel edges, and precisely trimming, scraping, and buffing them for a seamless, durable finish.
By integrating an auto-feed model into their line, the machine continuously feeds timber and composite panels through the finishing sequence without needing manual loading for each individual piece. This automation drastically speeds up board processing times, reduces labor-intensive preparation, and eliminates potential workflow bottlenecks between cutting and final assembly.
Ultimately, having two operational edge banding lines running simultaneously will significantly boost RDD’s daily output capacity, helping them meet high-volume commercial fit-out deadlines with uniform precision and speed.
